The Indian Lakes Resort less than 20 miles west of Chicago in the suburb of Bloomingdale merges adroitly business and pleasure, offering 260 acres of dramatic architecture and two 18 hole golf courses. Eight miles away, guests will find the 500 acre Cantigny Park, which features museums, 15 acres of manicured gardens, nature paths, picnic areas, art shows, gardening classes and military re enactments.
At first, guests enter a striking, six story atrium lobby with a cave built out of fake boulders that also house the lobby bar. After checking in, they can pamper themselves in the new Spa Vargas, where manicures and pedicures, facials, massages and body treatments will turn them to mush. In addition to a state of the art fitness facility, the Indian Lakes Resort also offers indoor and outdoor pools, a staffed business center and 24 hour self serve business center.
Guests won't starve while staying here. Six food and beverage outlets are located in places like alongside the pool or overlooking the golf courses. The Sedona Grill dishes up signature steaks, chops, grilled fish, and chicken in a fine dining atmosphere and even an all you can eat prime rib dinner on Wednesdays. The hexagon shaped guest rooms, with stucco ceilings and exposed beams, offer views of the golf course or atrium. All rooms include complimentary high speed Internet access, desks, executive chairs, and armchairs with ottomans. Guests will journey to the Land of Nod quickly on comfy premium bedding covered with floral bedspreads.
With all of its offerings, the Indian Lakes Resort attracts its healthy share of corporate groups, honeymooners and families who enjoy the getaway atmosphere and the outdoor opportunities.
