The eight story, contemporary hotel sets a serene ambience by overlooking lovely lakes and groves of trees. Colorfully checked armchairs, bench couches and a long black table bordered by sand colored columns fill the lobby, where a sitting area is brightened with sunshine streaming in through wood trimmed skylights. For further relaxation and recreation, this Wyndham features a 17,000 square foot health club complete with indoor pool, spa, sauna and massage services. The hotel's conference rooms, executive boardroom and ballroom comprise 21,000 square feet of meeting space. The hotel's ambience spills over into Terranova Cal Ital Bar and Grill, which serves California influence Italian cuisine and daily breakfast and Sunday lunch buffets. Guest rooms are equipped with comfy pillow top mattresses, floral teal bedspreads, high speed Internet access, cordless phones, work desks, ergonomic chairs, botanical bath products and massaging showerheads. Like most suburban Wyndhams, this version caters mostly to business travelers who have appointments in this end of town. But leisure travelers will like being away from the maddening crowds of downtown Chicago, but close enough to many area sites and transportation that will take them right into the city's thick of things.
